2019 Chevy Silverado

Introducing the 2019 Chevy Silverado

For the past 100 years, there's one name in the pickup world that's synonymous with dependability and long life: Silverado. Chevy makes the longest lasting full-size pickups on the road, period.

Never content with resting on its laurels, Chevy has given the legendary Silverado an all-new redesign for the 2019 model year. You'll first notice its chiseled new looks that are both rugged and elegant. Beauty is more than skin deep, though, as the 2019 Silverado is absolutely packed with new technology and features that will let you work and play harder (and smarter).

As soon as you step inside the 2019 Silverado, you'll notice that it's now even roomier than before. The redesigned cabin boasts more storage space, more rear leg room, as well as enhanced climate control. Not only can the Silverado outperform its competitors, you'll be more comfortable than ever as well.

All-New Durabed
The 2019 Silverado features the strongest and most functional bed of any pickup. Made from high-strength, roll-formed steel, it's both extremely durable and has the best-in-class cargo box volume. That means you'll haul more with each load than the other guy, getting each job done quicker.

Silverado's available power-up/down tailgate is an industry first innovation. The tailgate electronically lowers and raises the tailgate, and you can operate it from the key fob, in the cabin, or on the gate itself.

The available 120v outlet and LED Rear Task Lighting make your work easier wherever you go and whenever you're working - day or night. The Silverado's CornerStep bumper features larger footwells that make getting into and out of the Durabed even easier in work boots.

Dynamic Fuel Management
This exciting technology is new for the 2019 Silverado and is available on the 6.2L and 5.3L V8 engines. Chevy engineered this ingenious system to maximize fuel efficiency by only using the cylinders that are needed for any given situation. To save fuel, up to seven cylinders can be deactivated simultaneously. Under low load at cruising speed, the Silverado won't need to be using all eight cylinders, so why not shut off the ones that aren't needed? You won't notice the decrease in power, but your wallet might notice the decrease in cash spent at the pump.

Engines

The 2019 Silverado now comes with six engine choices to fit any need.
  • 6.2L V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management - When you need the most power, this engine brings it. Putting out 420 horsepower and laying down a hefty 460 lb.-ft. of torque, the 6.2L comes paired with an efficient 10-speed automatic transmission and is equipped with Auto Stop/Start technology to maximize efficiency. This engine is available on LTZ and High Country trims.
  • 5.3L V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management - If you don't quite need the pull of the 6.2L, this engine is a great choice. It outputs an impressive 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque. It's mated to a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission that's equipped with Auto Stop/Start technology. This engine comes standard on LT Trail Boss, LTZ, and High Country trims, and is available on LT and RST trims.
  • 5.3L V8 with Active Fuel Management - Also outputting a muscular 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque, this brawny engine comes paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Active Fuel Management system will deactivate half of the cylinders to save fuel when not needed. This engine is available on WT, Custom, and Custom Trail Boss trims.
  • 4.3L V6 - While it's the starting engine on several base models, this tried and true six-cylinder is anything but basic. It makes an admirable 285 horsepower and 305 lb.-ft. of torque. Accompanied by a six-speed automatic transmission, it comes standard on the WT, Custom, and Custom Trail Boss trims.
  • 2.7L Turbo with Active Fuel Management - This engine is brand new for 2019 and was built for both maximum efficiency and torque. Think a four-cylinder can't handle a Silverado? Think again - this advanced turbocharged engine makes 22 percent more torque than the 4.3L V6. It outputs a jaw-dropping 310 horsepower and 348 lb.-ft. of torque, which peaks from 1,500 to 4,000 RPM, giving you all the low-end grunt you'll ever need. It also features Active Fuel Management, which deactivates two cylinders when not needed, saving you money at the pump. This engine is standard on LT and RST trims.
  • 3.0L Duramax Turbodiesel - Coming soon, this inline-six cylinder turbocharged diesel engine will offer what you love about diesel engines - tons of torque and great fuel efficiency.
