  • Geoff Johnson
    Director of Ellsworth Operations

    Geoff is from Carver, Massachusetts and graduated from Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School. Geoff worked in the restaurant business for thirteen years in Massachusetts and was general manager when decided to move to a piece of property he owned in Maine. 

    Geoff worked in the auto industry in Maine for four years before accepting an open position at Darling's Honda Nissan Volvo. Geoff's experience in customer service and sales has been an excellent fit for our store and has greatly influenced the success of our team. He has been general manager for 8 ½ years. His great work as General Manager at Honda allowed for the perfect fit as Director of Ellsworth Operations  in 2018.

    Geoff lives on Chemo Pond with his wife. He enjoys spending time with his family and especially the grandchildren. Geoff loves being on the water, traveling, and downhill skiing.

  • Ryan Pelkey
    General Sales Manager

    Ryan is from Bangor and graduated from Bangor High School where he loved playing football for the Rams. He attended Husson College.

    Ryan enjoys working with people. His love for customer service flourished in the restaurant business when he lived in Florida. He began his career in the sales department at an automotive business when he moved back to Maine. After several years an opportunity became available at Darling's. We are happy to say Ryan accepted the F&I position and was promoted to sales manager soon thereafter. His success led him to a promotion to Chevrolet as General Sales Manager in 2019. Ryan loves being part of the Darling's team and always provides our clients with the best experience possible.

    In his free time Ryan and his family like taking their boat out to area lakes, they love to travel, and Ryan enjoys his annual fishing trip up north with family and friends. He and his family also volunteer with the MaineLyme education/prevention organization and community events.

    Ryan lives in Brewer with his wife and their two children.

  • Mario Panaro
    Finance and Sales Desk Manager

    Mario enjoys working with his clients and is a true people person. He likes helping his customers and wants to make it easy for them to navigate the car buying process.

    He graduated from Ellsworth High School and worked in the precious metals industry for several years before making a career change. We are happy to say that career change brought Mario to Darling's and he has been with us for five years.

    When he has time off he enjoys spending time with his wife and son. Mario enjoys hiking, sports and cooking for his family.

  • Nick Smith
    Finance and Sales Desk Manager

    Born and raised locally before joining the car business, Nick spent time in the restaurant industry in the Bar Harbor and Ellsworth area. Taking a chance on a career change, he started working at Darling's Chevrolet in November of 2009 as a sales rep. After 8 years of building relationships with customers and learning the business, he took a promotion to finance manager. The following year his role was expanded to sales manager as well. When not at work, he enjoys traveling and Maine summers.

  • Ryan Wilson
    Service Manager

    I am a Mainer, born in Carmel, Maine. After graduating, one of my first jobs was for Hannaford Supermarket and then Maine Distributors. In 2007, a friend asked me if I had ever considered working for Darling's Auto Group. I had always enjoyed customer service and took the chance at something new at Darling's Ford/VW/Audi. I began in 2007 as a VW Service Advisor. I did that for five years and then worked as a Ford TSM for approximately three years. After that I was promoted to the as-sistant Service Manager position for Ford/VW/Audi. In 2017, I was given the opportunity to become the Service Manager at Darling's Chevrolet.

    Outside the dealership, I still call Carmel home with my wonderful wife Victoria, a daughter Avery and a son, Luke. We love spending time at home grilling or cooking over the open fire in the sum-mer, watching sports, playing yard games, four wheeling, and having friends and family over for game nights. I am sports fanatic and route for all of the local New England teams. My true sports love is basketball of which I coached several local recreational and AAU teams. We also dedicate a lot of time and effort to Anah Shriners. I have been a shriner since 2009. I am part of the Anah SMART team and a member of the Anah Funsters. I participate in many parades and other local events as Scooby Doo. We enjoy raising money for Shrine Hospitals and putting smiles on kids' faces!

    I love working for Darling's Chevrolet. We are one big service family and we try to give that back to every customer. Family is about trust and care and in a similar way; our daily goal is make a friend with every customer.   • Tim Scribner
    Parts Manager

    I was born and raised in central Connecticut. After graduation, I attended Bryant College in Rhode Island and the University of South Carolina. My career focus has been the automotive industry, working with dealer groups in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Maine. My background is in service, collision, and fixed-ops. I am also ASE certified, I-Car platinum, and OE certified by Porsche, Audi, Toyota, Lexus, Honda, and Acura. Bangor, Maine always had a special place in my heart as my parents were born here. The move to Maine was a great way to become closer to family. I was proud to find my second home at Darling's in 2019.

    Ellsworth is my home, where I live with my wife, our three dogs, many cats, and a horse. I have two grown children, who I proudly coached in many sports. Outside the office, I enjoy volunteering with the Special Olympics and the Boys and Girls Clubs.

  • Jason Hardison
    Sales Representative

    Raised in beautiful Dedham, Maine I am a proud Mainer.  I chose to serve the United States Marine Corps after graduation. The Marines stationed me all over the world including Okinawa Japan, South East Asia and California. During this time, I received my BA in Economics. I served as Private First Class and ended as Sergeant. I lived in California for a bit and came back home to raise my family in Maine. A friend knew I would fit in perfectly at Darling's and so I found my home at Darling's in 2016.

    My beautiful wife Erin and I married in 2006. We have two awesome daughters, Abigail and Delilah. Outside the dealership, I spend as much time with my family and our little Dachshund, Tootsie. We enjoy adventuring at our friend's camp in Sebec on Lake Onawa or just hanging at home. I also love to hunt, fish, surf and read history books. I am a proud history buff. If history has taught us anything, it is to be kind to others and give back. In this civic-minded fashion, I am a Lion's Club member, a Local Mason, Marine Corps League Bangor Member and proud volunteer at school.

    Being genuine to your fellow man or woman is what I cherish most about Darling's Auto. This town has been kind to me, so with every vehicle it is my responsibility to give back to my community.     I am a Mainer, born and raised in Ellsworth. After graduation, I gained valuable experience in the landscaping, construction, and concrete industry. I then worked in the restaurant business as a server in Bar Harbor and Bangor. I was looking for a great career and found it at Darling's in 2019 as a sales representative. 

    My home is still Ellsworth, where I live with my dog named Tuukka. She is an English setter named after a Boston Bruins goalie. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with Tuukka, watching sports, hunting, and fishing. I'm a huge New England fan, especially the Bruins and Patriots.

    I am proud to work at Darling's. The atmosphere is filled with kind and hardworking people. My coworkers and I are dedicated to supporting each other and our customers, always willing to go the extra 500 miles. Feel free to reach out anytime.

    Sales Representative

    I am a Mainer raised in Sullivan, Maine. I graduated with sports scholarships to several universities, but decided the pay was better to work in the local fishing industry. In my younger years, I worked as a lobsterman and harvested bloodworms. Needing a change of pace and lifestyle, I followed my second passion for vehicles and started at Darling's Auto Parts in 1982. I changed jobs in 1985 be-coming a Part's Manager at Colwell Diesel. Following my earlier roots, I became a Service Manager in 1987 for Morrison's Chevrolet. They seemed to like me at Morrison's and promoted me to a Sales Representative in 1992. In 2004, Chevrolet named me as one of the top sales representative with 406 happy customers. Darling's Auto Group took the Morrison's name 2012 and I could not be happier. Since then I have met many customers, giving me great pride with every sale. 

    My pride extends to my community and family in my home of Ellsworth. I love giving back to my community as a local Shriner, Mason and former Board Chamber member. I am lucky enough to have my wonderful wife, Cindy, a Bengal cat named Arrow, a grown son, Chris, and daughter, Stephanie, and two granddaughters, Kaylie and Paisley who have given me many new adventures. My son, an Air Force Staff Sargent, has led me on many visits around the world, including Italy. When I am not adventuring with my family, I am at my second home at the golf course, my favorite being Bar Harbor Golf Course. 

    Darling's does the little things for its employees and customers. The little things are the things people seem to miss these days. It's nice to know there are still people that remember these things. In our world of hustle and bustle, Darling's still stops to remember the small details of caring and community pride that bring people together.     Customer Care

    I am a Mainer, born and raised in Eastbrook. After graduation, I followed my passion for science, studying Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology at Eastern Maine Community College. I also studied Chemistry, Human Disease Control & Prevention, and Dental at the University of Maine Augusta. My Dental Assistant training led me to a job as an Orthodontist Assistant in Ellsworth. Needing a change, I started at Darling's in 2019.

    My home is Eastbrook, where I live with my fur babies: a Yellow Lab named Tank and a Pitbull/German Shepard mix named Tucker. Outside the office, I love the outdoors! My favorite outdoor activities are hunting, fishing, and camping.

    I love providing the best customer experience to my customers. I gained a wealth of knowledge in the customer care field. My work within the up and coming internet department gave me great skills at online customer care. Eventually this experience led me becoming an online Customer Care Representative within the auto industry.

    After thirteen years in this industry I found the perfect job closer to home in customer care at Darling's in Ellsworth. When I'm not focused on the best customer experience I enjoy my time with my wonderful husband. We enjoy the little things like relaxing at home, motorcycling, walking or hiking.  

    I must admit, I love my job. Darling's has a down home family atmosphere with a vision of giving the best customer experience.     I am a Mainer, raised in Bangor. My first career was in law enforcement for over eighteen years. In 2010, needing a change of pace, I worked two years at U.S. Cellular in sales. I started at Darling's in 2012 as a Sales Representative. In 2019, after a year off, I came back home to Darling's as a used vehicle buyer.

    My home is Newburgh, where I live with my wife and our dog, a German Shorthaired, named Indie. I am also a proud dad to three children of my own and a stepchild. Outside the office, I love spending time with family, weightlifting, and golf.

    Team Service Manager

    I am a proud Mainer born and raised in Orland, Maine. After graduating, I followed my passion for vehicles attending EMCC studying Automotive. My career began at Morrison's Chevrolet in 2003 as an Automotive Technician. Then in 2006, I went to the front line of service as Team Service Manager for Darling's Chevrolet.

    I now live in Bucksport with my family of my wonderful husband, 2 boys, 3 dogs, 3 cats, 5 goats, pig and guinea pig. We love cheering on our favorite Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots teams, camping wherever the road takes us, relaxing on our boat at Toddy Pond or driving my 2016 blue Chevrolet Camaro. I also enjoy volunteering as a volunteer firefighter for the Orland Fire Department, Bucksport Little League volunteer and Bucksport Youth Football Volunteer.

    Working for Darling's is more than just working customer service. We are a family that gives back to our community.     I have been a car guy since the beginning, growing up in Skowhegan, Maine. After graduating, I at-tended Eastern Maine Technical College for Automotive Technology. Morrison's Chevrolet gave me a chance hiring me as an Automotive Tech. I put my tech skills to work in the front end in 2007 as a Team Service Manager. 

    Outside of work, I spend time at home or enjoying the outdoors. My wonderful wife Theresa, two boys, one dog and two cats enjoy the home life in Bucksport. Our outdoor adventures consist of hik-ing, 4 wheeling and more. I also love Hunting and Fishing at my secret Maine location. 

    At work I am always smiling, I think it has something to do with the great company and customers. Bringing a vehicle in for service can be an anxious experience, especially if you do not know what is going on with your vehicle.  I take great pride in making sure every vehicle is treated like my own, ensuring no details are missed.     I have been a motor head since the beginning growing up in Brewer, Maine. My work has lead me to every aspect of gears from sales to service to parts.  Prior to working at a car dealership, I worked parts and sales at Friend & Friend. I began in 1998 at Morrison's Chevrolet dealership. 

    Darling's is my home now and I love working with all the gears and parts galore as Lead Counter Person.  Eddington is my home now where I enjoy my time with my Suzuki motorcycle and volunteering with both the local Shriners and Masons. 

    I am most happy when I am on the backroads with my motorcycle or spending time with my work family. I'm lucky to have an incredible team who inspires me every day.
